About Me

I am a data analyst passionate about having an insight into truth of various topics through data; finding possible causations for issues that affect the world and also predicting the future using data. Data exists in every facet of life - health, technology, social sciences etc. - and reveals truths that can help us innovate, problem-solve, and create more efficient processes. It is also incredibly satisfying to wrangle messy data, find trends in the data, and present the data so that we all can benefit from it. Being a visual learner, data visualization is something that excites me to the core; an easy way to get general information before delving into the specifics.

Besides data, I love learning spoken languages, learning about political economy, and traveling the world. Traveling began as a way to become less ignorant about the world around me; the different cultures, languages, foods, and perspectives have helped me grow internally faster than anything else. However, realizing the damaging effect that traveling (via airplane) has environmentally has prompted me to reduce traveling and start trying to offset my carbon footprint.

Finally, I enjoy focusing my energy on innovation, such as environmental, social, and technological - with emphasis on frugal -  innovation. I am an avid believer in collaboration over competition and in the open source movement.
